How long can a vehicle be left on a street unmoved?
Vehicles may be lawfully parked on a public street or highway for no more than 72 hours. Vehicles not moved within 72 hours are subject to be towed away by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Why can’t I park on my own front lawn?
Cars may only be parked on an approved paved surface. The driveway and garage as defined by Duarte Municipal Code are the only lawful parking places on residential property.
Which pets are not allowed in Duarte?

How can I get a parking permit?
Residents/Guests are able to purchase a parking permit for $1 a day for a maximum of 10 days and can be purchased on Huntington Drive in front of Duarte City Hall, or via on-line Flowbird app. There are no residency requirements for temporary permits.
