The City of Duarte operates on a fiscal year basis, from July 1 through June 30 of the following year. The annual budget is developed each year in March through May and is adopted in June by City Council for the following fiscal year. Additionally, the City works with independent auditors each year to review financial activities and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Financial Statements for the prior year are presented to City Council in December for approval. For information on the City’s Annual Financial Statements, click on the links below.
The City also reports compliant financial data relevant to the City’s operation for each year to the State Controller’s Office. The State requires the report to be completed by the end of January each year, and is available to the public on their website.
